COVID-19: 1,571 new confirmed cases in Ireland

The Department of Health has confirmed a further 1,571 cases of Covid-19 in Ireland.

No information surrounding deaths associated with the virus has been released due to the cyber attack on the HSE.

The Department further confirmed that there are currently 307 patients in Irish hospitals with Covid-19, with 55 in ICU.

Yesterday, there were 318 patients in Irish hospitals with Covid-19, with 60 in ICU.

In Northern Ireland, there has been a further 1,320 cases of Covid-19 reported.

Nine further people diagnosed with the virus have also died.
