HSE CEO Paul Reid urges public not to dismiss public health advice

The HSE is urging the public to not dismiss public health advice as walk-in Covid-19 vaccination centres reopen again this weekend.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the HSE Paul Reid said: “You may decide to ignore strong advice today from many of the top medics in the country. But please don’t dismiss it.”

“If, as an adult, you decide not to be vaccinated, you do put yourself and others at much higher risk,” Reid said.

He said “we won’t leave anyone behind” and reminded people that “it’s never too late” to avail of a vaccine.

There are a number of walk-in vaccination centres opened this weekend for people over the age of 16 to avail of their first Covid-19 vaccine.

People who wish to avail of the vaccine should have; PPS number, Eircode, phone number, email address and photo I.D.
