Fast and Furious 10 release date announced

The anticipation amongst Fast and Furious fans can end today as Universal Pictures has set a release date for the 10th movie.

Actor Vin Diesel had revealed to Entertainment Weekly that the production of the movie would commence in January 2022, with the possibility of Fast and Furious 10 and 11 being filmed back-to-back to wrap up the series.

Diesel spoke to Entertainment Weekly Binge: The Fast Saga, stating, “Let’s just say, the fact that you guys know that the studio is saying we can’t cover all this ground that needs to be covered in just one movie, you can only imagine what is to come.”

The movie is scheduled for release on April 27th 2023, on the basis that the pandemic doesn’t interfere with the film’s production.

The saga’s prominent actors are expected to make a final appearance in the film, including, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris Bridges and Sung Kang, as well as director Justin Lin.

Unfortunately, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson will not be making an appearance in the final movie despite the ending of the long-running feud between himself and Vin Diesel.

While speaking to Men’s Health, Vin Diesel stated that he took a “tough love” approach to get better performances out of his co-stars, explaining how it was important for audiences to believe the character.

Johnson responded with, “I laughed and I laughed hard. I think everyone had a laugh at that. And I’ll leave it at that. And that I’ve wished them well.”

“I wish them well on Fast 9. And I wish them the best of luck on Fast 10 and Fast 11 and the rest of the Fast and Furious movies they do that will be without me.”
