COVID-19: 1,861 new confirmed cases in Ireland

The Department of Health has confirmed a further 1,861 cases of Covid-19 in Ireland.

No information surrounding deaths associated with the virus has been released due to the cyber attack on the HSE.


The Department further confirmed that there are currently 249 patients in Irish hospitals with Covid-19, with 54 in ICU.

Yesterday, there were 248 patients with Covid-19 in Ireland, with 54 in ICU.

In Northern Ireland, there has been a further 1,345 cases of Covid-19 reported.


Eleven further people diagnosed with the virus have also died.
