Actor Michael Aaron Carico has been arrested for allegedly taking part in the Capitol riots earlier this year.
The 33-year-old, who played a minor role in the US remake of The Inbetweeners, was identified by the FBI in a 30-second video of the riots.
Carico was arrested on the 11th of August, charged with entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds, disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restrictive building or grounds, disorderly conduct in a Capitol building; and parading, demonstrating or picketing in a Capitol building.
The FBI stated that Carico inadvertently bragged to an informant about his participation at the Capitol riots.
He had been heard on the grounds of the US Capitol that he had just been inside the building and that he responded with ‘michaelaaroncarico’ when asked what his Facebook account was.
FBI investigators then found his Instagram account where they discovered pictures of a man who matched the description of the individual seen in the video.
A device that was linked to his Google account also found that he was within close proximity of the Capitol grounds between 2:18pm and 3:55pm.
