COVID-19: 1,758 new confirmed cases in Ireland

The Department of Health has confirmed a further 1,758 cases of Covid-19 in Ireland.

No information surrounding deaths associated with the virus has been released due to the cyber attack on the HSE.


The Department further confirmed that there are currently 248 patients in Irish hospitals with Covid-19, with 48 in ICU.

Yesterday, there were 229 patients in Irish hospitals with Covid-19, with 43 in ICU.

In Northern Ireland, there has been a further 1,294 cases of Covid-19 reported.


Three further people diagnosed with the virus have also died.
