25-year-old man dies following stabbing in Dublin

A 25-year-old man has died following a stabbing incident that took place in Dublin yesterday evening.

The incident occurred at approximately 7:15pm at Mac Uilliam Road in Tallaght.


Following the incident, the man was taken to Tallaght University Hospital to undergo treatment for the injuries that he sustained but unfortunately passed away.

Another man, aged in his 40s, was hospitalised following the incident after sustaining injuries that are understood to be non-life-threatening.

The State Pathologist has been notified and a post-mortem examination is to take place today.


Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or was in the area between 6:30pm and 7:15pm is asked to contact gardaí.

Motorists in possession of dash-cam footage, who may have passed the area at the time of the incident, are also asked to contact gardaí.
