Over 5,000 people attend walk-in vaccination centres so far this weekend

The Health Service Executive (HSE) announced earlier this week that walk-in Covid-19 vaccination centres will open again this weekend following the success of last weekend.

Over 30,000 people attended the walk-in centres last week, throughout the Bank Holiday weekend.

Over 5,000 people have attended the vaccination centres for walk-in this weekend so far.

CEO of the HSE Paul Reid said that 89% of the adult population has now received at least one Covid-19 vaccine, with 77% fully vaccinated.

“We’re getting there,” Paul Reid said.

The walk-in vaccination centres are offering people the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine.

People attending the clinics will need to provide; PPS number, Eircode, Phone number, email address and photo I.D.
