COVID-19: 1,828 new confirmed cases in Ireland

The Department of Health has confirmed a further 1,828 cases of Covid-19 in Ireland.

No information surrounding deaths associated with the virus has been released due to the cyber attack on the HSE.

The Department further confirmed that there are currently 198 patients in Irish hospitals with Covid-19, with 33 in ICU.

Yesterday, there were 189 patients in Irish hospitals with Covid-19, with 30 in ICU.

In Northern Ireland, there has been a further 1,349 cases of Covid-19 reported.

Six further people diagnosed with the virus have also died.
