Teenage girl dies following car collision in Meath

A teenage girl has died and two other people have been seriously injured following a car collision in Meath.

The collision occurred yesterday afternoon on the R154 in Pelletstown, Drumree, at approximately 4:40pm.


The 17-year-old girl was pronounced dead at the scene and her body was removed to Our Lady’s Hospital Navan to undergo a post-mortem examination.

Following the collision, a man in his 20s was taken to Beaumont Hospital in a serious condition.

A man in his late teens was also injured following the collision and subsequently hospitalised at Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown for injuries that are understood to be non-life-threatening.


Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or is in possession of dash-cam footage of the collision to contact them.
