Hundreds protest outside Temple Bar pub over alleged assault on two teenagers

Nearly 200 young people gathered outside one of Temple Bar’s most popular pubs to protest against an alleged assault on two teenagers earlier this week.

The majority of the protesters carried skateboarders and chanted demands for the pub to come out and apologise.

Footage appeared to show two teenagers, one is 13 and the other is 16-years-old, engaged in an altercation with security guards.

The incident is now being investigated by Gardaí.

Another protest took place on Thursday night against the alleged assault.

On Saturday evening, hundreds gathered in Temple Bar to protest the assault, with a small number of Gardaí present standing on the edges of the crowd.
