COVID-19: 1,501 new confirmed cases in Ireland

The Department of Health has confirmed a further 1,501 cases of Covid-19 in Ireland.

No information surrounding deaths associated with the virus has been released due to the cyber attack on the HSE.

The Department further confirmed that there are currently 169 patients in Irish hospitals with Covid-19, with 23 in ICU.

Yesterday, there were 160 patients in hospital with Covid-19, with 26 in ICu.

In Northern Ireland, there has been a further 1,101 cases of Covid-19 reported.

Three further people diagnosed with the virus also died.
