COVID-19: 1,126 new confirmed cases in Ireland

The Department of Health has confirmed a further 1,126 cases of Covid-19 in Ireland.

No information surrounding deaths associated with the virus has been released due to the cyber attack on the HSE.


The Department further confirmed that there are currently 123 patients in Irish hospitals with Covid-19, with 22 in ICU.

Yesterday, there were 105 patients in Irish hospitals with Covid-19, with 21 in intensive care units.

In Northern Ireland, there has been a further 1,264 cases of Covid-19 reported.


Two more people diagnosed with the virus have also died.
