The final remaining legal Covid-19 restrictions have been eased in England from today.
The wearing of face-coverings and limits on people meeting indoor are two of the main restrictions being lifted.
From midnight, nightclubs and other indoor venues were able to reopen.
However, Boris Johnson’s Government has come under criticism for lifting restrictions as cases continue to rise.
The Prime Minister is currently self-isolating after being a close-contact of Health Secretary Sajid Javid, who became infected last week.
Johnson is urging the English public to remain prudent and further urged anyone who has not come forward for a vaccine yet to do so.
“If we don’t do it now, then we’ll be opening up in the autumn, the winter months, when the virus has the advantage of the cold weather,” Johnson said.
