WATCH: Man arrested after child snatched in New York

A man has been arrested after an incident in which a man snatched a child and tossed him in a car in New York was caught on video.

The footage shows the 5-year-old boy walking with his family through Queens on Thursday evening.


A man is suddenly seen exiting his vehicle, running to the child, snatching him from the pavement and throwing him in the backseat of the car.

The child was not hurt during the incident.

The New York Police Department (NYPD) confirmed that on Friday, 24-year-old James McGonagle was arrested in connection to the incident.


McGonagle has been charged with attempted kidnapping, as well as other counts.
