Vaccine portal to open for 18-24-year-olds for AstraZeneca vaccine on Monday

The Covid-19 vaccine portal will open on Monday 19th July for people aged between 18-24 who wish to register for the AstraZeneca vaccine.

HSE CEO Paul Reid said that the vaccine portal will open for those aged 18-24-years-old for an mRNA vaccine by the end of this month.

The mRNA vaccines are either the Pfizer/BioNTech or Moderna vaccines.

“Thankfully 25 to 29s now are fully opened and it is our intention, by the end of this month, that we would further open the portal for mRNA vaccines for the age groups 18 to 24,” he said.

“This coming Monday, it does open for 18 to 24s to register and opt-in for the AstraZeneca vaccine in a vaccine centre.”

To register for the vaccine online people need their PPS number, Eircode, email address and a phone number.
