Teenager dies following Monaghan car collision

Investigations are ongoing by gardaí after a man in his late teens was killed following a car collision in Monaghan last night.

The collision, which involved two cars, occurred in Tullybuck, Clontibret on the N2 at approximately 11:30pm last night.


The young driver was pronounced dead at the scene according to a garda press statement.

The N2 remains closed at Tullybuck and diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or was in the Tullybuck area last night, to come forward.


Gardaí are also appealing to anyone who is in possession of dash-cam footage of the incident to contact them.
