Conor McGregor has given an update via Instagram following his leg break during his trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier lasy week.
The 33-year-old Irish fighter sustained a fracture to the lower tibia during the first round of the fight.
The fight was immediately stopped, with Poirier clinching the win via a doctor’s stoppage.
The tension between the two fighters seriously escalated following the somewhat respectful nature of their second bout weeks before the trilogy.
In his post-fight interview, Poirier said McGregor got what was coming to him.
“I can take, you know, the trash talk. There’s no holds barred with the trash talk, right?,” Poirier said.
“But murder is something you don’t clown around about, there’s no coming back from that, and this guy was saying he was gonna murder me and all kinds of stuff. He was telling me he was gonna kill me tomorrow. I’m gonna leave here in a coffin.”
A fourth fight is definitely on the cards, the date will depend on how long it takes McGregor to recover from the injury.
