Online vaccine booking portal to open for 18-34-year-olds this week

The HSE online vaccine booking portal is to open this week for 18-34-year-olds for the AstraZeneca vaccine.

There is roughly 800,000 people in that age bracket who remain unvaccinated.


This age cohort can apply for an AstraZeneca or Johnson and Johnson vaccine now, or wait for an mRNA vaccine, such as Pfizer or Moderna.

Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly also confirmed that 69.8% of the adult population has now received their first Covid-19 vaccine, with 56.6% fully vaccinated.

Government today signed off on legislation which will allow indoor hospitality to reopen.


In the first phase, only those who are fully vaccinated or who have recovered from Covid-19 over the past nine months will be granted access to indoor dining.
