POLL: Is England right to lift mask-wearing mandate on July 19th?

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has announced that England will ease most remaining Covid-19 restrictions, with the expected date to be July 19th.

Johnson said the Government will lift legal requirements on face coverings and social distancing.

However, he noted that the pandemic is far from over and people should use their own personal judgement.

“In these circumstances we must take a careful and a balanced decision. And there’s only one reason why we can contemplate going ahead to step four in circumstances where we’d normally be locking down further, and that’s because of the continuing effectiveness of the vaccine rollout,” Boris Johnson said.

The official decision on the date to proceed with the final easing of restrictions will be finalised on Monday, July 12th.

Do you believe England is right to lift the legal requirement to wear face-coverings?

Or, do you believe Boris Johnson is moving forward to quickly?
