Hospitality sector calls on NPHET to attend talks on reopening indoor dining

Talks are set to take place later today between Government and the hospitality sector on the reopening of indoor dining.

Indoor dining was originally set to return today. However, NPHET recommended against the delay in reopening, and Government set a date for July 19th at the earliest.

NPHET also recommended that once the sector reopens, only those who are vaccinated should be allowed enter.

It was reported that members of NPHET will not attend todays talks between Government and the hospitality sector.

Those in the hospitality sector have been critical of NPHET representatives not attending the meeting.

Restaurant Association of Ireland (RAI) chief Adrian Cummings has called on Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly to instruct them to attend the meeting.
