Cabinet committee to meet tonight to discuss NPHET advice on July 5th reopening

The Cabinet Covid-19 committee is set to meet at 9:30pm tonight to discuss advice issued by NPHET on the July 5th reopening plan

Under current plans, indoor dining for pubs and restaurants is set to reopen next Monday.

However, with the evolving scenario regarding the Delta variant, first identified in India, the plans have been placed in jeopardy.

The leaders of the three Government parties are set to meet soon before the Cabinet committee to discuss the plans.

Leo Varadkar said that the hospitality sector will have total clarity tomorrow, once Cabinet has met and finalised plans.

Those in the hospitality sector are waiting anxiously to see if they will be permitted to reopen their indoor spaces for the first time in six months.

An Taoiseach is expected to announce the plans tomorrow.
