Woman (30s) dies following car crash in Longford

A woman in her 30s has died following a single vehicle car collision in Longford.

The driver was the sole occupant of the car and was pronounced dead at the scene.


The incident occurred near Lisryan, Castlenugent.

The road has been closed and forensic examinations of the scene are taking place.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to contact them.


They are urging anyone who has been driving in the region between 6pm yesterday and 10:30pm today with camera footage to contact them.
