Cabinet to meet earlier next week over reopening of indoor hospitality

The Cabinet are possibly to meet earlier next week to discuss the further easing of restrictions on July 5th.

It was largely expected that ministers would meet to discuss the reopening plans next Thursday.

However, criticism from many, mainly those in the hospitality sector, will likely force Cabinet to meet earlier to make the decision earlier than anticipated.

The Restaurants Association of Ireland has called for the Cabinet to meet on Monday.

NPHET will decide on the most recent data to what measures they believe the country should take, and ultimately bring their recommendations to Government.

Cabinet will then make their decision after meeting with NPHET officials.

The indoor hospitality sector has been closed for six months.
