At least 50 people missing after 12-storey building collapses in Florida

A large apartment block has partially collapsed in the early hours of this morning in Florida.

A substantial proportion of the 12-storey building collapsed in the town of Surfside, which is just north of Miami beach.


Multiple emergency service teams went to the scene for the search operation.

Local media outlet, CBS4 Miami, reported that at least one person has been killed in the incident.

Over fifty people were reported missing in the incident.


Search and rescue operation have been continuing throughout the day.
