People in their 20s will be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 by end of September – HSE

The Health Service Executive (HSE) has said that those in their 20s will be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 by the end of September.

The HSE’s national lead on the vaccine programme, Damien McCallion, said that those in their 30s who registered will begin to be given their appointments from this week.

He went on to say that those in their 30s who registered will be given their first dose in June or July, and will be fully inoculated by July or August.

Those in their 20s should receive their first vaccine in August and will receive their second dose in September.

There are deliveries of over 900,000 Covid-19 vaccines due in Ireland over the next two weeks.

The HSE is urging anyone in their 30s to register for their Covid-19 vaccine, those aged 39 and 38 should register from today.
