Matt Damon planning return trip to Ireland to travel around the country

Actor Matt Damon has said he and his family had a plan to take a caravan around Ireland when he returned.

In March 2020, at the beginning of lockdown, Matt Damon remained in Ireland as he was filming for Ridley Scott’s new movie, The Last Duel.

After Damon was spotted carrying a Supervalu bag while down for a swim in Dublin, his presence in the country became widely known.

However, once lockdown measures relaxed, Matt Damon and his family returned home to the US.

Speaking to the Irish Times this week, Damon reminisced on his time in Ireland and said he, and his family, will return and travel around the country.

“One of my daughters said to me just the other day, just out of the blue, she goes, ‘you know, I could live in Ireland,” Damon said.

“We did make a deal both times we left Ireland saying we’ll come back and finish the movie and then we’ll get to travel. We had a plan to take a caravan all around the country.”

“We had all these plans and then the second time it was straight into lockdown again and then we had to leave again. So we made a bargain with the kids that when this all ends we’re going back and we’re going to do our trip,” he continued.
