Teenage boy killed in workplace incident in Waterford

A teenage boy has been killed following a workplace incident in Waterford.

The teenager was injured during an incident involving a dumper truck.


The incident occurred in the Hacketstown area of Old Parish.

Emergency services were immediately called to the scene. However, the boy was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Investigations have been launched by the Health and Safety Authority and Gardaí.


The teenager is understood to be from the local area.

A file will now be prepared for the coroner.
