Gardaí investigating the death of young boy in Donegal

An investigation is underway by gardaí following the death of a nine-year-old boy at a house in Donegal.

The young boy was found unresponsive at a house last night in the St Johnston area of Donegal and was pronounced dead a short while after.


His body was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital where a post-mortem examination will be carried out.

Gardaí stated that the results of the post-mortem will determine the course of any further investigation.

The identity of the boy has not yet been released by gardaí.
