Denmark’s Christian Eriksen stabilised in hospital following collapsing in Euro 2020 match

Football fans around the world were left in shock this evening after Denmark’s Christian Eriksen collapsed on the pitch during their Euro 2020 fixture with Finland.

Eriksen required CPR and medical officials resuscitated him following the incident.


In a statement, UEFA confirmed the news everyone around the world wanted to hear, that Eriksen is stabilised and is in hospital.

The Danish Football Association have also confirmed that Eriksen is conscious and is awaiting further examination.


Following the incident, the crowd in Denmark fell silent, spectators at the stadium and around the world suddenly hit with a wave of anxiety and fear as to what the future would hold.

The fixture has been called off and the late fixture this evening may also be in doubt as a result of the incident.
