COVID-19: 259 new confirmed cases in Ireland

The Department of Health has confirmed a further 259 cases of Covid-19 in Ireland.

No further deaths associated with the virus have been reported due to the cyber attack on the HSE.

The Department also confirmed that there are currently 76 patients with Covid-19 in Irish hospitals, with 27 of these in ICU.

Yesterday, there were 77 patients with Covid-19 in Irish hospitals, with 27 of these in intensive care units.

In Northern Ireland, there has been a further 105 cases of Covid-19 confirmed.
