COVID-19: 271 new confirmed cases in Ireland

The Department of Health has confirmed a further 271 cases of Covid-19 in Ireland.

There has been no information released regarding deaths associated with the virus due to the cyber attack on the HSE.


The Department further confirmed that there are currently 77 patients in Irish hospitals with Covid-19, 27 of these are in intensive care units.

Yesterday, there were 69 patients in hospitals with Covid-19, with 27 in ICU.

In Northern Ireland, there were 81 new confirmed cases of Covid-19.


No further deaths associated with the virus have been reported in the North either.
