Possible link between Pfizer vaccine and heart condition

According to Israel’s Health Ministry, a number of heart inflammation cases have been reported after certain individuals received the Pfizer vaccine.

The condition, known as myocarditis, was reported in predominantly young men.

Noting that no casual link has been found between the vaccine and the condition, Pfizer stated that the rate in which the cases were being reported is no higher than what would be expected in the general population.

The health ministry reported 275 cases of the cardiac condition between December 2020 and May 2021 among over 5 million vaccinated people.

The majority of the cases were classified as mild with most patients spending no more than four days in hospital.
