Man dies following car collision in Galway

A man in his 30s has died after his car collided with a wall in Connemara, Co Galway at approximately 7am this morning.

The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene in Carna village.

His body has been removed to University Hospital Galway to undergo a post-mortem examination.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has dash-cam footage of Carna village between 6:30am and 7:30am to contact Clifden Garda Station at 095 22 500, the Garda Confidential line at 1800 666 111, or any garda station.
