Two men killed after Tesla with no driver crashes in Texas

Two men have lost their lives following a fatal car crash in Texas after the car crashed into a tree and burst into flames.

The car in question was a Tesla which was believed to have been operating without a driver according to investigators who stated that there was no one at the wheel of the vehicle.

One of the men was sitting in the front passenger seat of the car while the other man was in the rear seat.

Although the investigation has yet to be complete, investigators are “almost 99% sure” that there was no driver.

Investigators have not yet determined if the driver assistance system was engaged on the car at the time of the crash to which Tesla has warned still requires active driver supervision.
