Young girl (3) dies following bus collision in Tipperary

Investigations are ongoing after a three-year-old girl has died following a collision in Tipperary.

The collision occurred in Carrick-on-Suir in the Castle Heights estate at approximately 4pm when the young girl was struck by a bus.

She was pronounced dead a short time after the incident and was subsequently taken to South Tipperary General Hospital to undergo a post-mortem examination.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact Clonmel Garda Station at 052 6177640, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
