GAA to investigate alleged Covid-19 training breach by Monaghan footballers

A video has been released allegedly showing Monaghan GAA footballers training, ultimately breaking Covid-19 regulations.

The video, as well as photographic evidence, appears to show Monaghan footballers engaged in a training session at Corduff GAA club on the last weekend in March.

The Department of Justice received a dossier detailing the regulation breach.

The Department of Justice passed on the dossier to the gardaí, Croke Park and the Department of Health.

An Garda Síochána has confirmed it is making enquiries into the alleged breaches of Covid-19 regulations while the GAA has also vowed to investigate the matter fully.
