COVID-19: 400 new confirmed cases in Ireland

Health officials have confirmed a further 400 cases of Covid-19 in Ireland.

Seven further people diagnosed with the virus have also died.

72% of cases reported are under 45-years-old.

The county breakdown is as follows: 162 in Dublin, 61 in Kildare, 26 in Cork, 21 in Galway, 17 in Donegal and the remaining 113 cases are spread across 18 other counties.

13.4% of the population have received their first Covid-19 vaccine, 5.5% of the population are fully vaccinated.
