Seven-year-old girl dead following car collision in Belfast

An investigation is underway by the PSNI after a seven-year-old girl was killed in a traffic collision yesterday evening in west Belfast.

The young girl, who has been named by the PSNI as Kaitlin McCoubrey-Fullerton, was struck by a car on Springhill Avenue.

According to the PSNI, one arrest has been made in relation to the incident and is assisting them with their inquiries.

Anyone who is in possession of dash-cam footage or who may have witnessed the collision is asked to contact the PSNI.
