Man arrested over fraudulent insurance claims

A man in his late 50s has been arrested for allegedly making 200 false insurance claims.

The man is currently being detained at a garda station in Dublin after being arrested by Garda National Economic Crime Bureau as part of Operation Fraction.

The approximate 200 false insurance claims were made using false identities, false utility bills, supported by false medical certificates.

The man is being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 while investigations continue.
