Four men in their 20s and a juvenile have been arrested by gardaĆ in relation to the attempted murder of a 17-year-old boy in Dublin last month.
The attack occurred on Eugene Street on the 24th of February when the teenager was ambushed after emerging from a taxi.
GardaĆ believe that the boy was singled out by local criminals who knew the victim and also believe that the group of men were waiting for the boy to show up.
He received multiple gunshot wounds following the attack and is still recovering after undergoing surgery.
The men can be held up to seven days without charge.
