Travel within county permitted from the 12th of April

From the 12th of April, people will be permitted to travel within their county or 20km of their residence if crossing county borders.

Two households will also be permitted to meet outside except for gatherings in gardens.

Outdoor gatherings must also adhere to social distancing and other health measurement requirements. Masks are also advised to be worn in crowded outdoor areas.

People who are fully vaccinated will be allowed to meet other people that are fully vaccinated in an outdoor setting on the basis that they received their second dose two weeks prior to the meeting.

Residential construction will also be resuming from the 12th of April along with early-learning and childcare projects. Taoiseach Micheál Martin stated that from the 19th of April, some additional high-performance training will be permitted.
