Johnson and Johnson vaccination deliveries to begin from April 19th

Johnson and Johnson will commence its vaccination deliveries to Europe on the 19th of April following its approval back in mid-March.

An order of 200 million doses with the option of 200 million more has been signed by the EU. Ireland is set to receive 2.2 million doses of the vaccine, which only requires one single dose.

Trials from the European Medicines Agency revealed that the vaccine has a 67% efficacy rate and is also easier to store when compared to other vaccines.

This approval comes as Europe struggles to keep up to speed with its vaccination deliveries.
