Cork City’s Páirc Uí Chaoimh will play host to the vaccination of 600 healthcare staff which will take place today and tomorrow.
The GAA stadium is one of 11 centres nationally and one of five that is operating as a vaccination centre in Cork.
Currently, the centre is being used to vaccinate people in the first four priority groups but will be used at a later date for mass vaccinations.
The stadium will have the capacity to vaccinate 3,000 people per day, seven days a week for 12 hours a day when operating fully.
However, this will solely depend on vaccine supplies and the numbers required to be vaccinated. People in Group 4 are to receive their vaccinations from Monday at the conference centre.
