Taoiseach states that he will not speculate beyond April 5th for relaxing restrictions

In response to indications from Deputy Chief Medical Officer Dr Ronan Glynn that restrictions may remain in place until June, Taoiseach Micheál Martin has stated that he will not speculate beyond what he has already said on restrictions and whether they will continue after the 5th of April.

Mr Martin stated that the government will map out in advance what will happen from the 5th of April and onwards.

Stating that he understands how people are fed up, he will not speculate beyond the 5th of April while stating that Covid-19 variants are the biggest concern at the moment.

As well as this, a decision is to be made later on today on whether the AstraZeneca vaccine will be resumed or not.
