Gardaí have arrested five youths following a public order incident in Baldyole yesterday evening.
Gardaí responded to reports of a large group gathering in the Parochial Avenue area at approximately 7pm.
The five youths, aged 17-20, were arrested for breaches of the Public Order Act and subsequently detained at Raheny and Clontarf garda stations.
Two gardaí were injured during the incident which led to the arrest of two of the men, both aged 18, who will appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice next month.
The other three youths will be dealt with by way of the juvenile diversion programme.
