Teenager hospitalised following serious assault in Dublin

A 15-year-old boy has been hospitalised at Crumlin’s Children Hospital after sustaining serious injuries following an assault in Dublin on Sunday evening.

The incident took place at approximately 5pm yesterday in Inchicore in the St Vincent Street West area.

It is understood that the boy was lured to the area by a girl before being attacked by a gang of youths but no arrests have been made yet.

An investigation into the assault is ongoing and is expected to continue today.
