Primary school students in Northern Ireland return today

Primary school pupils in Northern Ireland returned to the classroom today for the first time since December.

P1-P3 students are to return to class but are set to go back to remote learning after two weeks.

It is hoped by First Minister Arlene Foster that these students will be able to remain in school. Secondary school students in key exam years (12-14) are to return to class on the 22nd of March. The wider return for all students has not been given a date yet.

Last week in the Republic of Ireland, junior infants to second class primary education pupils returned to school along with sixth years in secondary education.

Third, fourth, fifth and sixth class primary education pupils are to return next week along with fifth year secondary school pupils.
