COVID-19: 687 new confirmed cases in Ireland

Health officials have confirmed a further 687 cases of Covid-19 in Ireland.

One further person diagnosed with the virus has also died.

71% of cases reported are under 45-years-old.

The county breakdown is as follows: 240 of the cases are in Dublin, 49 in Limerick, 44 in Offaly, 40 in Galway and 36 in Louth, the remaining 278 cases are spread across 19 counties.
