OPW asks people not to drive to Phoenix Park and leave spaces for people who need it

The Office of Public Works has asked people who are travelling to Phoenix Park this weekend, to not drive if it is not necessary.

This follows last weekend, which was extremely busy when the car park was nearly full capacity and gardaí later requesting the Chapelizod Gate to be closed.

OPW stated on social media that visitors should only drive to the park this weekend only if necessary and to leave spaces for those who actually need them.

They also added to only visit the park if it is within your 5km limit.
